Students participating in activities in the Lincoln Wetlands

The school's storm water treatment and retention system adjacent to the Lincoln Garden was transformed into a wetland habitat and native plant garden in 2001, and now serves as an outdoor classroom. This project was the result of a joint effort of Lincoln Options and the South Capitol Neighborhood.

A strong parent interest group worked to make the Lincoln Wetland a reality.

Lincoln provides students with wetland and stormwater management related projects for natural science educational opportunities at the school.
