Potential OSD School Closures & Consolidations (Board Policy 6883 Update)

Dear Olympia School District families,
We are sharing two documents with our community today related to the district’s work under Board Policy 6883. They include the district’s formal analysis of the proposed closure and consolidation of Madison, McKenny, and LP Brown elementary schools, along with a letter from Superintendent Murphy providing additional context on the proposal.
We recognize the significance of this information, particularly for the students, staff and families connected to these schools. No final decision has been made, and the Olympia School Board will consider the proposal through the public process outlined in Board Policy 6883.
