Lincoln Options Elementary will soon begin enrolling new students for the 2022-2023 school year. The Options Program offers an alternative learning environment featuring multi-age classrooms, developmentally appropriate curriculum, thematic learning, and a high level of parent participation. Lincoln is part of the Olympia School District and typically fills its K/1 classes from within the District. Families outside of the Olympia School District are discouraged from applying, as an inter-district transfer approval offers a one year acceptance only, and historically there are no spots available at the kindergarten level. To help you make an informed decision about whether the Options Program is right for your family, we ask that you:
- Attend an Information Meeting via Zoom on either March 3 or March 9, 2022.
- Return a Lottery Participation Form by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Lottery registration forms will be available to families residing outside the service area following their participation in the Enrollment Information Night. Students living in the Lincoln Service Area and siblings of currently enrolled students, who are entering at kindergarten level, have priority enrollment to the Options Program and do not participate in the lottery. If you have attended an Enrollment Information Night in the past, it is not necessary to come again. Please email or call the number below and we will send you a lottery form.
Information meetings will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. via Zoom. The purpose of the meeting is to describe the program and lottery process, and give you an opportunity to meet the staff and ask questions. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are unable to offer classroom observations this year. If you would like to attend a Lincoln Options assembly, currently via Zoom, on Friday, March 11 or 22 at 8:45 a.m., please email the school office [email protected] for more information. Our assemblies offer a great picture of the culture of our school.
Additionally, the Olympia School District is hosting an informational event for parents and guardians who will have children in kindergarten in the 2022-2023 school year. Countdown to Kindergarten will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m..Participants will hear from Superintendent Patrick Murphy, Executive Director of Elementary Education Autumn Lara, and school principals.
